Ref: IMPEY/TS1Tilesafe® is a cold applied, self adhesive , water-proof membrane consisting of a thick bitumen based layer that incorporates a woven glass fibre mesh on one side for the application of tiles. It is probably one of the best tanking membranes available for use in wetroom applications as it provides a thick industrial strength impermeable barrier to any water that may escape beneath the tiles The membrane is self-adhesive and comes on a roll. Once installed tiles can be applied immediately - there is no curing time. Although particularly suited to floor applications Tilesafe® can also be applied to walls as an additional precaution. However, there is a maximum weight limit for wall mounted tiles when using Tilesafe and this should not exceed 20kg/m2 The Tilesafe® can be used with under floor heating, and at Impey UK we recommend use of the Devimat 100 watt system NOTE: Maximum effective temperature for Tilesafe® is 32°C and should not be exceeded.
