Guidance for electrical safety |
Illuminated mirrors are manufactured to conform with current European norms, with specific attention to the hazards of the bathroom environment. Mains voltage supply must not exceed 240volts 50 Hz. All illuminated mirrors must only be installed in zone 3 (as shown left), and inaccessible to a person using a bath/shower. Illuminated mirrors must be protected from water spray/splash emanating from a bath or shower by using a suitable fixed shower screen. |

Installation over a bath or within a shower area/cubicle is strictly prohibited and will invalidate any product warranty. |
A professional qualified member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers must carry out all electrical installations in compliance with the requirements of section 601 of BS7671: 2001 Amendment No 1, (AMD 13628) and No (AMD 14905) and in accordance with Part P of current Building Regulations effective January 1st 2005. |

Guidelines for cleaning and maintenance |
Do not use proprietary "glass, mirror or bathroom cleaning products" that can have detrimental effect on the product's finish. Use only tepid water and well-wrung chamois or micro-fibre cloth to clean mirrors. A soft dry, cotton or micro-fibre cloth is ideal or light fittings.
When replacing bulbs/lamps, use only those detailed within mirror instruction manuals. New bulbs/lamps are available from Bathroom Express. Always dispose of worn out lamps carefully. |
