| What is Infrared? |

| Infrared heat is the natural warmth radiated by any warm object. It should not be associated with potentially harmfull UV Rays.
Infrared waves heat up any object exposed to them, without using air to transport the energy. The infrared rays heat the skin directly, and then the heat is distributed throughout the body due to circulation of blood. This is why Infrared cabins allow you to feel pleasantly warm even at low temperatures.

| Traditional vs. Infrared Sauna: |

| Traditional saunas are a high heat, low humidity environment & "climate" is very important. The sauna heater elements transfer heat to the rocks & wood of the sauna room causing a soft, radiating heat which "envelopes" the user. Temperatures range between 70-90°C & water is splashed over the heater rocks to create a blast of steam & intensify the feeling of heat.
Infrared Saunas provide a much milder environment, there is less heat-up time, & the heat is directed at the bather. This is because Infrared rays heat the body directly & the air secondarily creating dry heat quickly for health & therapy or relaxation purposes. |
